Nigerian singer and Effyzzie Music Group lead act, Yemi Alade has called out the Nigerian Police for harassing and arresting one of her dancers.
The self-acclaimed ‘Mama Africa’ took to her Twitter account to call out the Nigerian Police, while charging them to stop the harassment and brutality that has become so viral in the country.
Yemi Alade narrated how her dancer, Tomisin was harassed and abused on the street for dancing.
According to her, “Yesterday, My dancer @tomisin_tomtom was harassed for dancing on the streets by policemen not wearing uniform.
What was his crime? dancing!!! Only in #NIGERIA that uniformed men will rather Prey on the innocent and protect the guilty.🖤💔✊🏾.Thankfully he was released yesterday.”
