A CONTESTANT at the 2019 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant, representing Adamawa State, Cynthia Afury, is now the Brand Ambassador of Lush Hair. Thus, she has been crowned Miss Lush, which comes with N500,000 prize money.
Cynthia will enjoy a year’s supply of Lush Hair products, in addition to representing the brand at events.
The 32nd MBGN Beauty Pageant held in Bayelsa State; it was attended by celebrities and other guests from across the country. It was hosted by Bovi and Layole Oyatogun.
A day before the grand finale, Lush Hair officials visited the contestants in the camp and engaged them in hair masterclass/training, individual video presentation, music and dance challenge.
“It is our utmost pleasure to have been a major sponsor of the most highly rated pageant in and outside Nigeria and most importantly having our Ambassador emerge from the MBGN contestants in the person of Miss. Cynthia Afury, representing Adamawa State,” the Brand Manager of Lush Hair, Sukhm Pannu, said.
“We are conversant with and quite appreciative of the rigorous grooming and selection process these ladies have been exposed to, matching the international standard. This, undoubtedly, demonstrates that we have taken the best step in the right direction in settling for one of the beauty queens.”
Over three decades, Silverbird Group’s MBGN has consistently organised beauty pageants in Nigeria.
The winner of the MGBN will represent the country at Miss World pageant, the first-runner-up (Miss Universe) while the second runner-up will fly the country’s flag at Miss Tourism pageant at the international level.
According to Guy Murray Bruce, the Special Adviser to the Bayelsa State Governor on Tourism Development and Entertainment, who also doubles as a Silverbird Group director, the theme for this year’s pageant, “Every Woman,” encapsulates the true definition of the woman, who is a nurturer, caregiver, working woman, wife and professional. He said the theme also lends its meaning towards the national fight against the increase in the statistics of girl child rape, girl child slavery, child trafficking and early girl child marriage.
“I hereby seize this rare opportunity to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Bayelsa for their warmth and hospitality and special thanks to sponsors who have contributed in no small way to the success of this event, such as Tolaram Group, owner of Lush Hair, Silverbird Group,” he said.
